Monroe Republican to Challenge Greenstein

Elias

Republican Adam Elias of Monroe today announced his candidacy for the state senate in the 14th District.

That’s the seat currently occupied by state Senator Linda Greenstein (D-14).

In a Facebook post, Elias wrote:

“I think it’s safe to say that spring has officially arrived.

“That is one thing we can always count on living in New Jersey: sooner or later, the weather always gets better, and we are once again reminded by how beautiful the Garden State really is.

“But as the seasons change, one thing remains the same: it is getting harder by the day to live in New Jersey. Harder to raise a family, harder to start a business or get a great job, harder to retire, and almost impossible to foot the bill for the highest taxes in the nation. If that is not bad enough, our Governor and the Democrat controlled legislature continue to take every opportunity to raise those taxes even higher.

“Career politicians in Trenton have all but given up on building a better tomorrow for our children and our grandchildren. It is time to elect a new Governor who is ready to work WITH the State Legislature, and a State Legislature that will work FOR the people they represent.

“My story is the story of the American dream. My family migrated to the United States when I was three years old. We had to work hard to earn everything we have and that made our success that much sweeter. I’m an entrepreneur and an attorney, but most importantly, I’m a husband and a father of two beautiful little girls who were born and will be raised right here in the Garden State.

“March 26, 1992, is the day that my family and I first moved to the great state of New Jersey. So today, March 26, 2021, I come before you all as a proud resident of Monroe Township and the proud owner of several businesses in Middlesex and Mercer County, proud to announce my candidacy to run for State Senate in the 14th Legislative District in the upcoming November 2021 State election.”
