Kim, Mejia, Timberlake Endorse Challengers in Bloomfield Town Council Race

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Senator Andy Kim, Congresswoman Analilia Mejia, and State Senator Britnee N. Timberlake today announced their endorsements of three challengers running for Bloomfield Town Council: Stefanie Santiago, Greg Babula, and Stef Bootwala.

“Stefanie Santiago, Greg Babula, and Stef Bootwala are a new generation of leaders ready to move Bloomfield forward with transparency, accountability, and leadership rooted in community,” said Kim, Mejia, and Timberlake in a joint statement. “At a time when trust in government is at a record low, they are stepping up with a positive vision that puts working families first and focuses on delivering real results for Bloomfield residents. We are proud to endorse Stefanie, Greg, and Stef for Bloomfield Town Council and encourage our neighbors to get involved in these final weeks to help build the future Bloomfield deserves.”

Santiago, Babula, and Bootwala are everyday residents of Bloomfield with proven records of stepping up to bring change to their community.

Stefanie Santiago is a dedicated community advocate and mental health clinician running for the First Ward Council seat. Greg Babula is running for the Second Ward seat on a record of public service to the Bloomfield Planning Board, Environmental Commission, and Historic Preservation Commission. Stef Bootwala is a Third Ward candidate and active civic voice who has been on the frontlines of community issues including development and flood mitigation.

Together, Santiago, Babula, and Bootwala are fresh voices for Bloomfield who have pledged to fight for residents every single day. They will appear on the ballot for the June 2nd primary election.
