Communications Workers of America District 1 Proudly Endorses James Solomon for Mayor of Jersey City

Trenton, NJ – November 19, 2025 – The Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 1 is proud to announce its endorsement of James Solomon for Mayor of Jersey City. In a race that presents a clear choice for the future of one of the state’s most important and rapidly developing cities, James Solomon stands out as a proven, unwavering champion for working families, public services, and the right to organize.

Solomon’s comprehensive affordability agenda directly addresses the crises squeezing CWA members and all Jersey City residents. His plan to build truly affordable housing, cap rent hikes, and stabilize property taxes is a blueprint for a city where teachers, nurses, telecom workers, and public employees can afford to live in the communities they serve.

“James Solomon’s vision is for a Jersey City that works for everyone. His integrity, his grassroots campaign, and his proven record of fighting for working people stand in stark contrast to the establishment politics of his opponent,” said Dennis Trainor, CWA District 1 Vice President.

“CWA District 1 is all-in for James Solomon, and we urge our members who believe in a more affordable, equitable, and accountable city to join us in supporting James Solomon’s campaign for Mayor. Let’s elect a mayor who works for us,” said Anna-Marta Visky, CWA Political & Field Director for NJ.
