DAPF TO CELEBRATE FIRST ANNIVERSARY GALA HONORING COMMUNITY LEADERS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS

Paterson, NJ – The Dominican American Political Force (DAPF) will host its First Anniversary Gala on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM at The Brownstone, 351 W. Broadway, Paterson, New Jersey.

This milestone event will celebrate DAPF’s commitment to civic engagement, political empowerment, and community advancement. The evening will recognize distinguished leaders whose accomplishments reflect DAPF’s mission of fostering representation and strengthening partnerships that uplift Dominican-Americans and diverse communities across New Jersey.

Among this year’s Honorees and Special Guests are:

·       Congresswoman Nellie Pou – First Latina from New Jersey elected to the U.S. Congress

·       Senator Benjie E. Wimberly – First African American Senator from Passaic County

·       Assemblyman Alaa “Al” Abdelaziz – First Palestinian American elected to the NJ General Assembly

·       Assemblywoman Alixon Collazos – First Colombian American elected to the NJ General Assembly

·       Assemblywoman Rosaura “Rosy” Bagolie – First Dominican American elected to the NJ General Assembly

·       Lieutenant Tania Santana – First Dominican woman promoted to Lieutenant in the Paterson Police Department

·       Henry Abreu – Entrepreneur and Dominican political leader

The Gala will bring together elected officials, community leaders, and members of the Dominican diaspora to commemorate the organization’s achievements and reinforce its mission of empowering voices through political representation and leadership.
