Meet Spike, MTSD’s new AI assistant 

Mendham Twp, NJ – The Mendham Township School District (MTSD) launched a new AI-powered website assistant, “Spike,” designed to enhance communication and improve the user experience for families, staff and community members. 

Visitors to mendhamtwp.org can now chat directly with Spike to help navigate the site and find important information more efficiently. 

Built on Druid AI’s conversational AI platform, Spike provides always-on digital assistance to families, staff, and community members, serving as a modern receptionist to the district’s website. Users can ask questions in natural language and receive immediate, accurate, district-content-grounded responses. Whether families are searching for performance dates, registration forms, lunch menus or other commonly requested information, Spike is available 24/7, extending district responsiveness beyond office hours and helping reduce wait times for common inquiries. 
Importantly, Spike cites the specific district web pages used to generate each response, reinforcing transparency, accuracy and trust.
