NEWARK – Team Baraka always knew it was going to come down to the West Ward.

In the closing hours of Election Day, the mayor’s forces have blown the trumpet for operatives and bodies from other fronts to converge on the West for a final push in the face of challenger Chigozie Onyema.

Onyema is opposing the Baraka machine-backed Dupre “DoItAll” Kelly.

It’s been fairly slow and quiet.

It’s only Onyema, Team Baraka and Team Oscar James II with any real street presence today.
