As a former elected member of the College Democrats of New Jersey, I fully understand the importance of diversity and inclusion. I was very fortunate to have been chosen by the students in the State of New Jersey to have been their Executive Vice President for two terms, in addition to Director of Membership. I was elected every year during my college career because my values and principles.
With the upcoming election for Hudson County Democratic Organization Chair, there is one candidate who I believe will bring more young people to the party along with diversity and inclusion, and that’s Amy DeGise. She has been fighting for years to ensure everyone has a seat at the table. As an activist, union representative, and school board member, she has what it takes to make the HCDO stronger.
At a time when we have so much infighting in Washington, we don’t need that in Hudson County. She understands the importance of including everyone to be apart of the HCDO regardless of race, sexual orientation, age, gender, religion or socioeconomic status.
We can do better and it starts with voting for Amy DeGise!
