After months of speculation, Sharon Ashe Nadrowski formally declared her bid for mayor on Wednesday, December 8. Nadrowski, who currently serves as President for the Bayonne City Council, has been outspoken against the Davis Administration, especially within the past few months.

“I ran for council to help our city and to give a voice to those who needed one. To work together to change Bayonne for the Better,” said Council President and Mayoral candidate Sharon Ashe Nadrowski. “But that is no longer the truth. City Hall is broken. We need a government that is more open and transparent. We need a government that is proactive. We need a government that represents all of Bayonne.”

Nadrowski is a Bayonne native and a product of St. Andrews Grammy School and Bayonne High School. In her time on the Bayonne City Council, the City of Bayonne has prioritized the investment in city parks, Broadway and the Bergen Point neighborhoods, and also the redevelopment of the former Military Ocean Terminal.

Nadrowski has also coached basketball and track for All Saints Catholic Academy for nearly two
decades.

“I learned on the basketball courts down 1st Street that every team needs a leader. Someone to set the tone, call the plays and make sure that we are all working together,” said Council President and Mayoral candidate Sharon Ashe Nadrowski. “Not just someone who wants to show up after the work is done, cut a ribbon and take credit. But someone who listens, recognizes the problems and joins in the work to get it done.

“I am proud of Bayonne, I was born and raised in Bayone and I am not leaving Bayonne but if we are going to keep it strong and have it continue to be the community we want to raise our families in, we need a change in leadership,” added Ashe Nadrowski.
