An Assembly Candidate in LD29 Steps Forward

Democrat Awais Qazi today announced his 29th District campaign to become New Jersey’s youngest delegate and the newest voice in the growing progressive movement in the great Garden State.

Qazi is a first-generation American who moved to New Jersey with his parents when he was five-years-old. After going through the public school system, he attended college at NJIT.

The Qazi for Assembly Democratic Primary campaign will revolve around a grassroots movement, said the candidate. It will be funded by small donations and fueled by ideas from the community, he said. Over the next few weeks, the candidate will be going door-to-door to speak with as many constituents as possible.

If elected, he said he will regularly hold town hall meetings with his district, and he will only support proposals that will help the 29th.

Assemblywomen Shanique Speight and Eliana Pintor Marin are running for reelection this year in the 29th.
