Atlantic County Reports 1 New COVID-19 Case, 5 Recoveries, on Tuesday Morning

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 as of this morning, Tuesday, March 31. This brings the countywide total to 31.

Of those cases, five residents have now been cleared as “recovered.”

Most individuals with mild or moderate symptoms of the virus, such as fever and cough, are able to recover at home in about two or more weeks.

Atlantic County reported its first case of COVID-19 on March 18.

Public health officials remind residents to help prevent the spread of the virus by staying home and practicing safe respiratory and hygiene habits as well as to follow the recommended guidance for social distancing.

The statewide COVID-19 case count climbed by 2,196 on Tuesday, March 31st, for a total of 18,696 cases; 69 New Jerseyans died since Monday, bringing the fatality count to 267 as of Tuesday.
