Baraka Running McIver for Central Ward Council Seat
The Ras Baraka Team will run Lamonica McIver in Newark’s Central Ward to supplant off-the-reservation Councilwoman Gayle Chanweyfield Jenkins, who’s running for mayor against Baraka in 20118.
A longtime Baraka devotee, McIver is an officer with the Believe in Newark Foundation.
