Baraka and Stack Surface at Fulop’s Side at JC Reorganization Ceremony

Whatever hurt feelings occurred in the aftermath of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s decision to pursue reelection rather than go statewide appeared all but eradicated in city hall chambers today as Newark Mayor Ras Baraka – Fulop’s leading ally in his ill-fated quest for the governorship – swore him back into office.

The chamber was packed.

Attendees included Union City Mayor (and 33rd District Senator) Brian P. Stack, viewed as the successor to sitting Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairman Vincent Prieto – in part owing to the aggressive campaign role he played in the Heights section of Jersey City to reelect Fulop.
