Bayonne Councilman Cotter to Run on Mayor Davis’ Ticket

First Ward Councilman Tom Cotter will run for re-election in May on Mayor Jimmy Davis’ ticket. The Mayor’s ticket is now complete, with each of the city’s five incumbent council members joining together once again after they swept into office in 2014 and worked collaboratively to move the city forward.

“Tom Cotter understands how important it is to fight for our city’s future, which is why he’s always been an advocate for improving our parks and our programs for kids and families,” said Davis. “I’m excited to run again with Councilman Cotter and to have our full team now in place.”

A lifelong Bayonne resident, Cotter has been instrumental in the Davis administration’s many significant improvements to parks and public facilitates, such as the Skate Park, Collins Park, and 8th Street (Clark) Park. He spearheaded the return of the Bayonne Fall Festival and has consistently supported Mayor Davis’ economic development agenda.

“Four years ago the Davis team was elected to turn this city around, and that’s exactly what has happened,” said Cotter. “I’m so excited to hit the streets and work towards victory in May, because our city is finally on the right track and we can’t let anyone stop our progress.”

Mayor Davis’s ticket also includes Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski, Councilman at-Large Juan Perez, Councilman Sal Gullace and Councilman Gary La Pelusa.
