Benson Adds Endorsements From Four Mercer Legislators

Senator Zwicker, Assemblyman Freiman and Assemblywoman Jaffer have joined Senator Linda Greenstein in endorsing Dan Benson for County Executive.

“Assemblyman Benson has long been a leader in the Assembly on issues ranging from transportation, to healthcare, to the state budget,” Zwicker, Freiman and Jaffer said in a statement.  “We know he’ll use that knowledge and expertise for the benefit of the people of Mercer County as their County Executive. He is the right person for the job.”

Senator Greenstein, Benson’s long time running mate, also endorsed the 5-term Assemblyman in the race for County Executive.

“Assemblyman Benson is the right person to lead Mercer County as County Executive. His relentless focus on infrastructure, social services, public safety, education and public health will truly deliver for the residents of Mercer County,” Greenstein said.  “In my time serving with the Assemblyman, I’ve come to know him as an honest, effective leader who always puts the needs of residents first. I know he’ll bring the same level of dedication to public service to the County Executive’s Office as he has in the Assembly.”

Since Benson’s announcement for County Executive, he has received endorsements from (4) Democratic Legislators, the Sheriff, (6) Mercer County Commissioners, (6) Democratic Mayors, (9) Democratic Municipal Chairs and (40) Local Elected Council Members.
