Today, the Bergen County Building & Construction Trades Council voted overwhelmingly to endorse Gordon Johnson for State Senate in District 37.

“Gordon Johnson has served district 37 with the utmost honor and distinction in the state assembly and we are confident that he will continue to do so in the state senate this fall,” said Rick Sabato, President of the Bergen County Building & Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO, which represents 25,000 workers and their families living in Bergen County.

“As we begin our collective economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more important now than ever before that we have representatives in Trenton who fight for the economic development initiatives and job-creating projects and programs that Bergen County needs and puts our members to work,” added Sabato. “Gordon Johnson has demonstrated time and again that he will be that strong voice of advocacy for our members and their families that we need in the state senate. We are proud to lend him our enthusiastic support.”

The Bergen County Building & Construction Trades Council is being announced weeks prior to the Bergen County Democratic Organization’s Convention on March 15th and the June 8, 2021 Primary Election.
