Bergen GOP Screening Committee Goes for Mehta
Rik Mehta tonight won the backing of the Bergen County Republican Organization’s screening committee.
The vote tally was 41 for Mehta, 12 for Hirsh Singh and six for Tricia Flanagan.
The committee also voted to back John McCann as its 5th District choice to go up against U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-5).
Gottheimer defeated McCann in 2018.
