Booker Announces Senate Campaign Leadership Team

Booker

U.S. Senator Cory Booker today announced the first four members of his campaign leadership team.

The Cory Booker for Senate Campaign Team includes:

Adam Silverstein, Campaign Manager

Adam Silverstein, a veteran New Jersey campaign strategist who has been recognized as one of the state’s top operatives, will lead Senator Booker’s re-election team.  Adam was the principal architect of the Bergen Democrats’ electoral success over the past decade, including County Executive Jim Tedesco’s upset victory in 2014. Serving as Rep. Josh Gottheimer’s chief strategist in 2016, he helped defeat a seven-term incumbent – a rare bright spot for Democrats across the country that year.  Over the past 15 years, Adam has worked on over 100 New Jersey political campaigns, including Cory Booker’s first campaign for Senate in 2013.

T. Missy Balmir, Deputy Campaign Manager – Political Director

T. Missy Balmir brings more than 20 years of extensive political and governmental experience to the campaign and is currently Co-Chair of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee’s Black Caucus. A veteran of numerous campaigns at all levels, Missy served as African American Base Vote Director with the Booker for Senate campaign in 2014 and held the same role with Senator Bob Menendez’s campaigns in 2012 and 2018. Missy currently serves as the Interim Administrator in Hamilton Township and will officially join the campaign as Deputy Campaign Manager – Political Director next month.

Anne Sciaino, National Finance Director

Anne Sciaino will serve as the campaign’s National Finance Director.  Anne has more than a decade of fundraising experience with several Congressional, Senate and Presidential campaigns, including Cory Booker’s 2013 and 2014 Senate campaigns and most recently as Chief of Staff to Booker’s presidential campaign finance team.   She previously served as Hillary Clinton’s New Jersey Finance Director in 2016, Finance Director for Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman in her first Congressional campaign in 2014 and as a member of the finance team for Senator Frank Lautenberg’s 2008 campaign.

Modia ”Mo” Butler, Senior Advisor

Mo Butler, who most recently served as Senior Strategist on Senator Booker’s presidential campaign and previously played major roles in Booker’s mayoral and U.S. Senate campaigns, will serve as Senior Advisor to the campaign. Mo previously served as Senator Booker’s New Jersey Chief of Staff and as Chief of Staff to Mayor Booker in Newark City Hall.  The Newark-based Butler holds close relationships across the state, particularly in Essex County.

Senator Booker will announce additional campaign staff in the weeks and months ahead.

  1. I’m not sure why he is even going to the trouble of naming a team. He is automatically re-elected, regardless of which drug company executive the Republicans run against him.

  2. Spartacus is toast in NJ. He’s proved himself a racist, he neglected Newark for years, and frankly, his so-called leadership skills suck. Booker will never see re-election in NJ without committing voter fraud. Balmir and Silverstein both have “connections” within local government. We should watch them very closely. They have a lot of access to local gov employees, and we’ve already seen how Democrats love to lie, cheat, and steal to win at all costs.
