Booker Cracks up Pascrell, Crowd after Patersonian Stumble

ATLANTIC CITY – Cory Booker and Bill Pascrell moments ago cracked up the crowd here at Harrah’s.

The Reverend John Givens, Paterson Democratic Party co-chair, was in the room.

Pascrell had left the dais and when he returned, he lost his footing and stumbled onto the stage while Booker spoke.

He went down on all fours like a shortstop trying to smother a grounder.

“He’s been falling for me my whole life,” Booker said to roars from the crowd, which ad moments earlier given the presidential candidate from New Jersey a standing ovation.

Pascrell climbed to his feet, took his seat.

“I find you very handsome too,” the junior senator said to the pugilistic congressman.

Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-37) was also in the room.
