Booker to Chair Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Hearing on A.I. in Criminal Investigations and Prosecutions

TOMORROW at 2:30 P.M. ET, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) will chair a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Criminal Justice and Counterterrorism hearing entitled “A.I. in Criminal Investigations and Prosecutions.”

In the hearing, the subcommittee will examine existing AI technologies in use by law enforcement and the benefits and risks of deploying AI in criminal justice investigations and prosecutions. The committee will aim to discuss ways in which legislators can create critical safeguards for the use of AI technologies by law enforcement and in the criminal legal system while promoting public safety. They will hear from three witnesses.
