Budget Nugs: CWA Prepared to Strafe Battleground Leg Districts; Bramnick Bemoans High-Tax Dems

Against the backdrop of ongoing budget talks between Governor Phil Murphy and Legislative Leadership, the pro-Murphy Communications Workers of America (CWA) prepared to send out literature to key legislative districts urging compromise and pushing for a millionaire’s tax.

Some of the targeted districts?

LD3 (Senate President Steve Sweeney)

LD19 (Speaker Craig Coughlin)

LD36 (Budget Chairman Senator Paul Sarlo)

LD14

LD37

LD11.

For his part, Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick (R-21) dismissed Murphy’s compromise proposal, released earlier this afternoon.

“When the Democrats talk about compromise, they’re still raising taxes on New Jerseyans,” Bramnick said. “All of their compromises are tax and spend.”
