By Defending Tucker Carlson, Bill Spadea Crosses even Republican NJ Redline

Yesterday, I received the following email message from Bill Spadea, under the rubric of his “Common Sense Club”.

Friend,

The silencing and deplatforming of conservative voices in the United States continues on.

Yesterday, Fox News ousted its top-rated host, Tucker Carlson, without providing any reasoning for the shocking move. Ironically, this announcement was made shortly after Tucker Carlson Tonight surpassed all other cable news shows in terms of ratings AND viewers.

So why would Fox News get rid of its most-watched and best-rated host?

Is it because he spoke the truth?

We know that speaking truth and challenging the ‘group think’ narrative makes people like Tucker Carlson a threat to the mainstream media’s radical far left agenda.

Tucker Carlson spoke the truth??? Speaking the extreme language of misogyny is speaking the truth?

This Spadea message was given the same week that Tucker Carlson was exposed as using the “C word” in private messages.  This is tantamount to Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke referring to African-American leaders with the “N-Word” on a visit to Camden.

Now full disclosure.  I have known Bill Spadea his entire life.  He is neither a racist nor a misogynist. He is also an outstanding family man who outside the arena of politics possesses an undeniable degree of personal decency.

Spadea is, however, a person with atrociously poor political judgment.  Although not a racist or misogynist himself, he seems to have no filter or restraint in defending the most gender-bigoted behavior of any MAGA hero whose support he seeks.  When it comes to political judgment, Bill Spadea seems intent on validating the description of him by Chris Christie as a “bonehead.”

In a gubernatorial general election or even a GOP primary, Bill Spadea would be total anathema to women voters, attracting at best thirty percent.  He has crossed a clearly defined Jersey red line.  To use an Alan Steinberg metaphor, he now has as much chance of winning even the GOP nomination for New Jersey governor as I have of being elected mayor of Damascus.

Although the MAGA crowd may have unrequited love for Tucker Carlson, they know that Spadea has made a fatal and irreversible political faux pas.  Will he next attack E. Jean Carroll?

Republican State Senator Mike Testa, Jr. Is a hero to GOP cultural warriors.  He has, however, far better political judgment than Bill Spadea.  He would never be caught dead defending misogynist or racist behavior.  You will soon be witnessing the MAGA crowd deserting Bill Spadea in droves and PLEADING with Testa to enter the GOP 2025 gubernatorial sweepstakes.

One thing is certain.  Jack Ciattarelli, the 2025 New Jersey GOP gubernatorial frontrunner, is having a VERY good morning.

Alan J. Steinberg served as regional administrator of Region 2 EPA during the administration of former President George W. Bush and as executive director of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission.

  1. Alan Steinberg has gone off the deep end again. He must be off of his meds. Steinberg is the epitome of what former Soviet Union Dictator Vladimir Lenin called “useful idiots” who genuflected to the Communist Party in Russia, at the expense of their own people.

Steinberg claims that was Tucker Carlson said about a female executive was “misogyny”. He said that this is tantamount to David Duke of the KKK calling Black leaders in Camden the “N-word”. Really??? Steinberg is full of shite, once again.

Steinberg leaves a large portion of the facts out of propagandist commentary. According to a lawsuit filed by Carlson’s producer Abby Grossberg, Carlson oversaw a toxic environment on his show in which misogyny, including the use of the C-word by men on the team, and antisemitism were rampant. (In an interview on MSNBC on Tuesday, Grossberg said Carlson made her life a “living hell.”). Yet, Grossberg and her attorney have admitted that Grossberg was never in the studio with Carlson and never met him. So, how can it cause a “toxic work environment” making her life a “living hell”????

Grossberg is a fake, phoney and a fraud. She is looking for another Fox News “windfall” lawsuit because she wants a huge pay-day so she doesn’t have to work anymore. This is NOT misogyny. This is fraud, deceit and false representations brought in a frivolous lawsuit.

What Grossberg, and by extension Steinberg, are doing is as bad as the liars who have falsely accused Justice Kavanaugh and President Trump of being “rapists”. They are looking for a pay-day, and in the process, have sold their souls to the Deep State “apparatchik” to GET TUCKER CARLSON or GET TRUMP!!!! Steinberg has just shown the real idiot that he is, and should be ignored in the future for the libel and slander he writes.

  2. Carlson spoke out anti-war that is the one and only reason he is off the air. And you are right that crosses the line in America.

  3. Your article is BS. I am sad Tucker is off the air. But he will be back! He spoke the truth about this complicit government in keeping the war machine in Ukraine going, the Covid vaccine BS!! I don’t know about the “C” word but people say things in private that is none of anyone’s business. Would it be better if he called someone an -ss? B—tch? Unless he said it to her, who cares.

  4. My impression of Spadea plummeted when I read your previous column on March 20 regarding Spadea and Ciattarelli.

After reading this informative, insightful column, it continues to spiral downward, rapidly.

I enjoy and respect your columns, Alan Steinberg.
    Keep up the good work.

  5. How long as both Bill Spadea and Tucker Carlson be on either television or on the radio?

The reason I ask this question is that whether or not you agree with either men, you can not ignore the fact that they are voicing their concerns about how much control both the media and government have on American society.

Making reference to a private chat, to me is petty. A private message doe not show the overall character of a person. If that were the case, people should be reviewing their own thoughts, actions, and written communications over the years.

It is not individual people’s opinions and statements that are the most pressing issues, but rather the amount of control news outlets have over the content and distribution of “content” that is made available to the public.

What is ironic to be is that the author of this personal essay forgets that President Bush, who he worked under, is responsible for sending America to TWO wars based on false information. We are quick to forget how lies and misinformation directly lead to billions of American taxpayer funds being sent overseas, rather than invested in our country.

The Author also forgets the millions of lives that have been lost. The generation of families that have been affected both in the middle east and in America.

We need to stop beating up on individual journalists, reporters, and news personalities and need to start looking at current and active elected officials. They are the ones making laws and dealing in the shadows that affect every one of our families’ lives.

  6. Tucker Carlson was not and is not a journalist

His stock in trade was pandering to fear and
based on his own words we now know he did not
even beleive what he said on the air

He was fired because he was a liability to Fox

  7. Pandering to fear???? BWAHAHAHAH!!!!!! Look at your own Democrat Party when it panders to fear. They Lie and expect you to accept the Lie, like the Border is Secure (while Americans are being murdered by illegal aliens and cartel gang members; while Americans are being mass murdered with fentanyl from China passed through Mexican cartels), or the Green RAW Deal that says we need to cut out carbon when every living thing needs carbon to survive.

You’re nothing but another Democrat-Communist “useful idiot”.

  8. Another Demorats hit piece with no proof! Very hard to hear toxicity of the work place if you never been there!
Two peas in a pod, no wonder never peace!
