CAMcare begins testing asymptomatic and symptomatic patients for COVID-19

Camden

(Camden, NJ) – Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. joined Congressman Donald Norcross, Mayor Frank Moran, and representatives from CAMcare Health Corporation today for the opening of a new testing site at the Gateway Health Center in Camden City. Today, May 18, CAMcare began offering appointment-based testing to residents, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, at several sites in the City. In addition, patients do not need to be symptomatic to be seen at any of the sites.

“Testing is the most critical resource in our arsenal as we enter the next phase of this crisis,” Cappelli said. “We are excited to have a strong partner in the community who is stepping up and providing testing to anyone who needs it. The more tests we are able to administer, the better we can understand the scope of the challenge we face, and the clearer our vision to fight it becomes.”

Appointments can be made by calling (856) 536-3266. CAMcare is testing both asymptomatic and symptomatic patients at the following locations:
