Camden County Reports 122 New COVID-19 Cases on Saturday

Camden

(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 122 additional confirmed cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 2,592 in Camden County today and 98 total fatalities.

“Despite testing being more available throughout the county than at any other point in this pandemic, the number of new cases each day has stayed in roughly the same place for more than a week. This a testament to the hard work and dedication by the people of Camden County to stay home and stop the spread of coronavirus,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We cannot take our foot off the gas during this critical phase of our response. While recent trends have been encouraging, this fight is a long way from over, and losing faith in our strategy or letting a false sense of security to take control will only send us backward, prolonging this extremely difficult period. The best way to keep yourself and others from contracting coronavirus has not changed: stay home and keep social distancing until we can safely return to large gatherings.”

The Department of Health is announcing 122 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 515 confirmed cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 2,592 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 82 deaths have been reported from these facilities from our 98 total fatalities countywide.
