Camden County Reports 18 Additional COVID-19 Cases, 1 Fatality; 59 Total as of Tuesday

(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 18 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County as of Tuesday afternoon. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

“Today, we saw another 43% increase in cases in the county, which says two things to me: first, that testing is more widespread in the county and second, that we need to continue to isolate and aggressively socially distance to break the back of this virus,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We need to be vigilant and I cannot underscore enough the need for residents to stay home. I said it yesterday, and I will say it again, make no mistake, this will become a lifesaving operation in the future until we get an effective medicine or vaccine to treat COVID-19.”
