CD5 Flashpoint: Lonegan Reports $563K COH

Steve Lonegan, conservative Republican candidate for New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, announced today that he has $563,515 cash on hand.

“I announced my campaign for Congress against liberal Josh Gottheimer with a simple message for the people of this district – I will focus on tax cuts, job creation, term limits, and putting an end to liberal Democrat policies like sanctuary cities that Gottheimer supports,” said Lonegan. “People from across the 5th Congressional District and from across the country have responded with their financial support for my conservative, common-sense solutions.”
The overwhelming bulk of LOnegan’s COH comes from a loan he gave to himself.
Here’s the breakdown:
$78,053.94 Total Raise
$501,572.45 Loan
COH: $563,515.03
Steven Lonegan: $5,400
Lorraine Lonegan: $4,700
In District: $15,725
As of July 2017, Lonegan had $342,452.23 in debt connected to his 2014 run in CD3.
The GOP candidate insisted that he has a robust fundraising and events schedule planned for the 4th quarter.
“We have a long way to go until November 2018, but the taxpayers of this district have made it clear they support the true common-sense conservative Republican in the race against liberal Josh Gottheimer,” Lonegan said.
