Heather Darling Wins, Beats Michael Patrick Carroll in GOP 2019 Primary Election for Morris County Surrogate

After a very contentious 2019 GOP Primary race for Morris County Surrogate, winner Heather Darling is now facing attacks from county democrats who have released a video alleging that she advocates for struggling families to sell their babies to help make ends meet.

Heather Darling trailed most of the night, but pulled ahead late to win the GOP nomination for Morris County surrogate, edging Assemblyman Michael Carroll.

It was a tough blow for Carroll who gave up his seat to run for surrogate.

But it was a joyous night for Darling who is now a freeholder.

Darling said she’s gratified  hard work pays off no matter who you are running against. She also had history in mind, saying that she believes she is the only first-time freeholder to win election to higher office.
