Tonight, Nick De Gregorio, a Marine Veteran and Republican Candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District, released the following statement in response to his decisive victory at the Bergen County Republican Organization’s (“BCRO”) Annual Convention.
The vote count was as follows:
Nick De Gregorio: 302
Frank Pallotta: 116
Fred Schneiderman: 15
Seb Skenderi: 3
“I am honored beyond words to have received overwhelming support from the place I have called home for my entire life. For months, our campaign of grassroots supporters has worked tirelessly to earn the votes of the Bergen County Committee through hundreds of hours of door knocking and phone calls. Both our success tonight and the enormous turnout at the Convention point to the kind of momentum that will fuel our campaign to victory in the primary and ultimately against Josh Gottheimer this fall. We will proudly fight for Bergen County communities against the Biden-Gottheimer inflationary agenda all the way to victory this November. We will need all hands on deck to defeat Josh Gottheimer, and I ask my primary opponents to join me in this next phase of this critical campaign.” – Nick De Gregorio
De Gregorio, as winner of the BCRO County Convention, has earned a key position on the Republican Party line in the June primary. In the newly-drawn Fifth Congressional District, Bergen County makes up over 80% of the population, and success there will be crucial to prevailing in both the primary and general elections
De Gregorio had previously won the recommendation of over 70% of the BCRO Policy Committee and was recently named to the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (“NRCC”) Young Guns “On the Radar” recruitment and support program. |

Today, after much research I have decided to vote for De Gregorio. New Jersey’s hard working people deserve someone that will fight for us and make our lives, our children’s’ lives and our grand children’s lives better.
Life long, hard working residents can’t afford to retire here and be a part of their lives. I could go on but De Gregorio hit 5 of my top concerns. God speed!
