Edison Dems Vice Chair to Pinkin: Don’t Waste Taxpayer Dollars Appealing

on Judge Zahid Quraishi’s Decision to Strike Down Organization lines, Denial of Stay, and Denial of Stay Appeal by the Third Circuit Court.
“For almost 40 years in Edison Township, the Edison Democratic Organization [EDO] selected local candidates by secret ballot for placement on the democratic party line ‘County Line’ for the primary election. Starting in 2021 then Councilman Samip Joshi and Middlesex County Democratic Organization [MCDO] Chairman Kevin McCabe would forever change the EDO by disregarding the secret ballot candidate selection and placing then Councilman Samip Joshi and his handpicked slate of candidates on the County Line for Mayor and Council.
“This bullyism of participatory democracy by now Mayor Joshi and Chairman McCabe had continued into the 2023 primary election when Chairman McCabe at the request of Mayor Samip Joshi removed two Edison council candidates selected by secret ballot at the EDO from placement on the County Line. Presently five of the sitting Edison Council Members were benefactors of this scheme.
“My quote from 2023 is a bit easier to swallow after Judge Quraishi’s rulings over the past 2 weeks –
“I was removed from the County Line at the behest of Mayor Samip Joshi as he did not believe I would vote in favor of his vendors and agenda if elected to council, and he relayed his decision to MCDO Chairman McCabe to disregard the vote of the EDO. Today I filed a lawsuit against the MCDO and Chairman “ – Robert Kentos, Nov 9, 2023.
“My lawsuit Kentos v. MCDO is presently up on appeal. Judge Zahid Quraishi’s decision to strike down
organization lines, deny the stay, and the Third Circuit Court denying the appeal for the stay this week is a breath of fresh air for all Edison Democrats and the EDO.
“Many folks do not realize, that the County and Municipal Committees is for ‘Official’ party governance
pursuant to State statutes. How these County Chairmans can make duplicative official democratic party
endorsements at the municipal level is appalling. Judge Quraishi’s decision is a game changer. Every county and municipal committee person with concerns about participatory democracy in their candidate endorsement process should seek By-Laws and or Constitution amendments within their committees. Don’t bargain your committee’s rights away to the Chairman in your By-Laws.
“I ask Middlesex County Clerk, Nancy Pinkin, not to waste taxpayer funds appealing the ruling in Kim v. Hanlon.
“I ask that she also support the solidification of the court’s ruling by advocating for “Fair Ballots” in both the final outcomes for Kim v. Hanlon and Conforti v. Hanlon.”
what about Perth Amboy? They did the same thing to Perth Amboy. They picked our mayor and he’s the chairman of the Democrat party. They did the same thing the Democrat party from Middlesex County they did the same thing and now we’re suffering this last four years we had a mayor that can’t read right or speak and wasted 16.8 million and wasted our surplus emergency money and took out three Vons and all he did was waste and give out his raises to his relatives, his puppets and his clowns wasted given them $50,000 races who gives out money like that that’s our money and then he raised our water bill 77% because there’s no money to fix our water and now we’re having contaminated water for these past couple years now this has to stop.
