ELEC: PACS in LD3 Own Statewide Money Efforts of the Big Six Committees

The two state parties and four legislative leadership committees have raised a combined $5.8 million, spent $5.3 million, and had $2.3 million cash on hand, statewide numbers that lag behind 2013 totals, and dwarfed by 2017 PAC spending in one district alone, according to reports prepared by the state Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC).

“While the Big Six committees are doing better than the past three years, their fundraising totals still are lower than four of the five elections dating back to 2007,” said ELEC Chief Jeff Brindle.

The Democratic State Committee raised $2.8 million, spent $2.6 million, and had $1.2 million cash on hand. The Republican State Committee raised $585,000, spent $489K, and had $207,619 COH. Senate Dems Majority raised $706K, spent $737K, and had $446K COH. The Republican Senate Office raised $646K, spent $613K, and had $638K COH. The Democratic Assembly Fund raised $642K, spent $544K, and had $251K COH. Assembly Republicans: $409K raised, $356K spent, $409K COH.
