FBI ‘Involved’ in Investigation of Councilwoman Dwumfour Murder
FROM ABC NEWS: A team of investigators is looking into every aspect of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour’s life – personal, professional, religious – as they search for her killer.
The FBI is now “involved” in the investigation, which includes Sayreville police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
“We are aware of the investigation into the death of Councilwoman Dwumfour, in Sayreville Wednesday evening. We have talked with our local law enforcement partners at the Sayreville Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Should they ask us for any assistance, we will do all we can to help their investigation,” the FBI said in a statement.
The 30-year-old was found inside her white Nissan SUV with multiple gunshot wounds on Samuel Circle just before 7:30 p.m., officials said.

The “shocking” murder of New Jersey Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour does not initially appear to be politically motivated, according to Garden State Gov. Phil Murphy.
Murphy told WNYC Thursday that the murder late Wednesday — in which the 30-year-old Republican was repeatedly shot in her SUV, which then crashed with her slumped over the wheel — felt “very specific.”
“Unfortunately, there’s very little that is known right now,” Murphy said in his weekly sitdown with the radio show, according to NJ.com.
But “it does not appear to be related to her position as an elected councilwoman in Sayreville,” he said of Dwumfour, a newlywed mom.
“Again, please God, it doesn’t,” he stressed.
Of course the killing of Dwumfour was politically motivated. Tell me that she was shot 14 times, with 7 shots to the face was not a political message, or a hit job message!!!!!
Reports surfaced that she was getting involved in some sort of crime task force to go after Nigerian gangs and criminals in her county. Given that Dwumfour is a Nigerian, she knows the landscape of these types of criminals. The Nigerian gangs didn’t want her involved, so they took her out.
The only other explanation, which is weak, is that she has an ex-husband and she just remarried in Africa. The ex-husband could have been deranged enough to shoot her 14 times, but it seems unlikely. Or, he could have been involved in the gangs and had her hit.
