Fields Takes over Community Relations for Jersey First

Jersey First has hired Janice M. Fields as Director of Community Relations. She will oversee Jersey First’s community outreach efforts in helping us deliver our vision for a more affordable New Jersey. 

“Janice is a relationship builder with a career dedicated to community service. We are excited to have her leadership, energy, and unwavering drive on our Jersey First team. We are confident Janice will be a driving force in our success to reduce the crippling tax burden in New Jersey,” said  Jersey First President Rosemary Becchi.  

In her new role, Fields will pinpoint opportunities for community engagement, develop initiatives for outreach, and execute strategies to build a strong rapport with taxpayers and lawmakers to forward the Jersey First goal – to educate and advocate for New Jersey economic policy solutions that will help keep families and businesses in the Garden State. 

Fields, a Republican State Committeewoman in Somerset County, said, “I have always felt a calling to make a difference and serve others. Though my professional experience has been in human resources, my passion is community activism – and I am thrilled to bring that passion to Jersey First.”  

Fields currently serves as the Chair for the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women. In 2009, she served on Governor Chris Christie’s Transition Team. She has also served on the Board of Governor’s Council for the NJ Federation of Republican Women and as President of the Somerset County Federation of Republican Women from 2007 to 2009. 

She is the recipient of the prestigious Millicent Fenwick Award by the Somerset County Federation of Republican Women and was also honored as Woman of the Year in 2015 by The Center for Italian and Italian-American Culture. She lives with her husband, Barry and their twin sons in Basking Ridge.
