First Ballot: Fitzherbert Out

ATLANTIC CITY – Tech guy Brian Fitzherbert was the low vote-getter as the Atlantic County GOP attempts to get to 50% plus one and select a candidate to back in the 2nd Congressional District contest.

He’s out.

Four are in:

Linwood engineer Hirsh Singh;

Retired FBI agent Robert “Turk” Turkavage;

Former Assemblyman Sam Fiochi

and

Attorney Seth Grossman.

Of note in that first ballot battle: Going in a different direction from Somers Point Councilman James Toto, who backed Singh, Somers Point threw all 50 of its votes to Fiochi.

The second ballot looked like Singh early.

But he would have to get through Fiocchi.

It was Singh versus Fiochi.

143 for Singh in Galloway;

In Hammonton, 99 for Singh.

Linwood (the candidate’s hometown): 54 for Singh.

Egg Harbor Twp.: 146 for SIngh.
