Former Assemblyman Ed Salmon Endorses Bayly Winder for Congress

Former Assemblyman Dr. Edward H. Salmon endorsed Bayly Winder for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District, as he solidifies his position as the frontrunner in next year’s primary election.
Salmon ran in 11 elections and served 26 years in government as Mayor of Millville, Cumberland County Freeholder Director, New Jersey State Legislator representing the 1st Legislative District, President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, and a member of Governor Jim Florio’s Cabinet. He was a longtime educator and basketball coach, as well as a successful business leader. Salmon praised Winder’s commitment to service and his ability to unite voters across the district.
Now he wants to take on incumbent U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2), a staunch ally of President Donald

J. Trump.
“Bayly took an oath to serve our country. He’s just the type of leader South Jersey needs,” said Ed Salmon. “He’s building a campaign rooted in service and common sense — and he’s the right person to take on Jeff Van Drew.”
Winder said he was honored to have Salmon’s support as his campaign continues to gain momentum ahead of the Democratic primary.
“Ed Salmon has spent decades serving South Jersey with integrity and purpose,” said Bayly Winder. “His support reflects the growing consensus that our campaign is the one best positioned to win — and to deliver for every community in this district.”
