Former Bordentown Police Chief Nucera Indicted in Excessive Force Case

A Hudson County man was sentenced today.

A federal grand jury sitting in Trenton today indicted the retired chief of the Bordentown Township Police Department for allegedly violating a man’s civil rights by using excessive force during an arrest.

The attached indictment adds a single count of making false statements to the one count of hate crime assault and one count of deprivation of civil rights under color of law with which Frank M. Nucera Jr., 60, of Bordentown, was originally charged by complaint, as described in the press release issued Nov. 1, 2017.
