Gloucester County: 6 Additional COVID-19 Cases; 19 Total as of Tuesday Morning

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced six more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County on Tuesday morning.

This brings Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 cases to 19.

The 14th case is a 46-year-old female from West Deptford.

The 15th case is a 49-year-old male from Mullica Hill.

The 16th case is a 72-year-old female from Washington Township.

The 17th case is a 27-year-old male from Woolwich.

The 18th case is a 21-year-old male from Glassboro.

The 19th case is a 66-year-old female from Woolwich.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. A mask should only be worn if a healthcare professional recommends it.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.

As of 2pm on Tuesday March 24th, the NJDOH cites 3675 COVID-19 cases statewide, with 44 deaths, 428 negative test results from the state lab, and 45 persons under investigation at the state lab.
