GOP Assemblyman DiMaio Slaps at Huddled Up Dems, Opposes Horizon Bill

TRENTON _ Republican caucus members began trickling into the chamber, while their counterparts remained behind closed doors.

“It just seems like the majority party is having a hard time leading,” Assemblyman John DiMaio (R-23) told InsiderNJ. “It’s disappointing.”

Asked if he backs the Horizon bill championed by South Jersey, Middlesex, and apparently Gov. Chris Christie, DiMaio; and opposed by Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-32) – the Warren County lawmaker said no.

“I’m not on the bill right now,” DiMaio said. “If there was excess reserves that go back to ratepayers I could be persuaded to get on the bill. Now – no.”
