Gopal, LD11 Incumbent Dems Snare PBA Backing

In a  battleground district development, the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association along with the Monmouth County Conference of PBA’s today formally endorsed Vin Gopal for State Senate, Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling, and Assemblywoman Joann Downey.

“Vin Gopal has always been a strong supporter of law enforcement in Monmouth County,” said State PBA President Patrick Colligan “He has made it clear that, if elected to the New Jersey State Senate, he intends to continue working closely with PBA leadership and our members.  We intend to work very hard from now through Election Day to make sure we have Vin Gopal as a partner in the Senate and that we continue to have Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey in the Assembly fighting for Monmouth County law enforcement.”

State PBA President Colligan and Monmouth County PBA President Mike Tardio as well as Gopal, Downey, and Houghtaling stood with over 100 law enforcement officers.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the NJSPBA and Monmouth County Conference of PBA’s,” said Gopal, Democratic candidate for State Senate against incumbent state Senator Jennifer Beck (R-11). “These men and women put their lives on the line to keep our families and communities safe. I am proud to stand with them as a strong supporter of our law enforcement agencies and members, and will continue to be strong advocate for them and their families in Trenton.”

“I want to thank the NJSPBA and the Monmouth County Conference of PBA’s for their support,” said Assemblywoman Downey. “As the daughter of a police officer, I understand the sacrifice they make and as a state legislator, I am always be proud to stand up for the men and women who keep us safe.”

“Thank you to the NJSPBA and the Monmouth County Conference of PBA’s  for their endorsement,” said Assemblyman Houghtaling. “As an organization, the PBA does an amazing job of protecting the men and women who protect us every day. As Assemblyman, I am honored to work with these members and will do everything I can support them.”

This Senate race is of equal importance as the guv race bc if Murphy wins he’s gonna need legislative support and a Vin win would be influential in Central and South Jersey.

Vin’s progressive policies are NOT the ideals of Monmouth County and LD11. Houghtaling and Downey will rue the day they voted to cut Neptune’s School Budget by $681,000 while voting for pork such as an $85,000 “Garden To Nurture Human Understanding.” Tell me George, are you in favor of pork like that while hurting school children and school budgets AFTER the budget has been approved for the year?

I don’t know about the other candidates but tell me what is Vin’s single worst progressive policy.

I believe he’s said he’d like to turn Monmouth County into Essex County! That’s frightening enough.
