Grenier has $4K Cash on Hand in Likely Most Expensive Legislative Race in History

In what will be the richest contest in New Jersey Legislative history, with PACs driving the spending chariots, Republican Fran Grenier raised just $60,000 on his own, according to the Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC), including a total of $3,414 of monetary contributions of $300 or less.

Grenier is mostly running on the considerable financial support of the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), which has pumped $4 million in PAC dough into the district on behalf of the Republican.

According to his ELEC report, the NJEA Political Action Committee wrote Grenier an $8,200 check this past summer. U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-2) put his money where his mouth is with a check this month for $2,000. The New Jersey Republican State Committee pumped Grenier $14K.

The Republican closed the period with a balance of $4,830 in his campaign account.

Sweeney’s campaign account shows that the Democrat raised $1.5 million, including $13.7K of monetary contributions of $300 or less. The senate president has $850,152 in the bank, according to ELEC.

  1. This clearly proves that this guy is just a puppet. Even the NJEA will not donate money to him!

NO ONE EXCEPT THE njea LEADERSHIP IS IN THIS GUYS CORNER.

Polling is beginning to show that Grenier will be seen as one of the worst investments ever in NJ politics.
