Hudson County Democratic Organization Chair Craig Guy today released the following statement on the state of the Governor’s race:

“Under my leadership, every municipality in Hudson is united in support of Mikie Sherrill, and the HCDO has seen a surge of energy and commitment unlike anything in recent cycles. In the final stretch before Election Day, I’m proud to say our headquarters are buzzing — with new volunteers signing up daily, phone banks packed, and teams hitting the streets across Hudson County to make sure Mikie Sherrill is our next governor.

"The enthusiasm for Mikie’s candidacy throughout the county is undeniable and growing by the day. It was on full display at yesterday’s parade, where tens of thousands of people turned out — and everywhere we walked, people came up to Mikie to thank her and offer their support.

"In the meantime, her opponent was endorsed by the same Hudson County DINOs whose greatest hits include the failed candidacy of Frank Schillari.  In fact, I’m not even sure if all of those people even still identify as 'Democrats', or even 'Hudson County residents'.

"Just like MAGA Frank Schillari’s endorsement, these latest ones come with no money, no ground game, and no credibility.

"Hudson County Democrats are united, energized, and ready to deliver for Mikie Sherrill, and yesterday’s news that Republicans endorsed a Republican only strengthens our organizational resolve to make sure she is our next governor."
