Hurley: AC Councilman Fauntleroy Charged In Domestic Disturbance; Denies Assault (Updated)

In a developing case, South Jersey radio host Harry Hurley reports that Atlantic City Councilman Fauntleroy was charged in a domestic disturbance matter.  Fauntleroy has denied ever physically assaulting the alleged victim, according to Hurley.

Hurley reported on Monday evening that “‘Hurley In The Morning’ has learned and confirmed first that Atlantic City Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy II has been officially charged regarding a domestic disturbance matter. He was charged and released on a summons. This information is being provided to the City Council Solicitor at this hour to determine whether his Council position will be affected.”

On Tuesday afternoon, Hurley follow up with another dispatch: ‘Today, in Judge Savio’s courtroom, His Honor awarded full custody of Fauntleroy’s 3 children to him. Judge Savio was fully aware of the present allegations surrounding Fauntleroy. Judge Savio also granted Faunleroy a restraining order against the woman who alleged that he physically assaulted her. Fauntleroy flatly denied to me ever physically hitting the woman. I am calling Fauntleroy tomorrow at 8:05 a.m. to discuss this on-air on “Hurley in the Morning”.’
