Running for Congress in the 2nd District, Jeff Van Drew – like fellow Democrat Mikie Sherrill in CD11 – won’t support House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives if he wins his general election and Democrats take control of Congress.

Van Drew made his comments exclusively to Harry Hurley of WPG Talk Radio.

“Van Drew unambiguously confirmed his intent, telling me, ‘It’s time for new leadership.’ Van Drew also confirmed to me that his formal statement regarding this issue will follow in the near future. At least 20 other Democratic candidates have also pledged not to support Pelosi,” including Sherrill.
