New Jersey County COVID-19

The statewide COVID-19 count stands at 824,179 cases and 22,176 fatalities (and 113,800 probable cases and 2,573 probable fatalities) as of Wednesday (an increase of 3,578 cases and 45 fatalities from the previous day). The viral transmission rate is 1.04. There have been 4,892,598 COVID-19 vaccinations administered (with 1,896,442 people fully vaccinated).

COVID-19 Cases by County

“Confirmed” cases are established through PCR testing.

“Probable” cases are established through viral antigen testing.

Five deaths reported today three Atlantic City residents – two women ages 55 and 75 and a 62-year-old man, a 79-year-old Galloway man and a 60-year-old Hammonton man from a long-term care facility. All five had pre-existing conditions.

Camden County COVID-19 Count April 9


(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 158 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 44,654 in Camden County today and 1,135 total fatalities.

“We are continuing to see increased numbers of new COVID-19 cases each day, with infection and test positivity rates remaining stubbornly high over the last several weeks,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Each day, thousands of county residents become fully protected against COVID-19 thanks to availability of vaccinations. It is critically important that everyone get their shot as soon as possible once they become eligible. The vaccines are safe, effective, and our best weapon in the fight against this disease.”

The Department of Health is announcing 158 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.


Cape May COVID-19 Count April 8


COVID-19 Update – 4/8/21

For vaccine information on where, when, who, and how, please visit capemaycountynj.gov. The Cape May County Department of Health administered 250 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on April 7, 2021, for a total of 16,192 doses so far. The New Jersey Health Department reports that 40,674 Cape May County residents have received at least one vaccine dose and 29,389 have been fully vaccinated. Cape May County has consistently led the State in per capita administration of the COVID vaccine.

The New Jersey Department of Health’s latest COVID-19 Activity Level Report came out today and while the entire State remains high, the Southeast section where Cape May County is located has the lowest case rate once again. Cape May County makes up the Southeast with Atlantic and Cumberland counties. The case rate per 100,000 residents is 27.31, with the second lowest coming in at 29.76 in the Central West. The case rate of 27.31 also marks a decrease from last week at 28.66. The Southeast is also home to the second lowest percent positivity rate of 8.48%. There are six total sections that split up the State in these rankings.

The Cape May County Department of Health is announcing today that 29 new positive test samples were collected among County residents over the past several days. While Cape May County has recorded 8063 COVID-19 cases during the pandemic, 7529 of those are now off quarantine.

Monmouth County COVID-19 Count April 9


Monmouth County has 310 additional positive cases of COVID-19

FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone and County Commissioner Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley have announced that today, April 9, there are 310 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County. There are five new deaths being reported today related to COVID-19 in Monmouth County.

The County Commissioners and the Monmouth County Health Department (MCHD) are strongly urging residents to do their part to slow the spread by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible, not gathering in large crowds, washing their hands and staying home when sick.

Monmouth County will offer free COVID-19 testing for County residents on Tuesday, April 13 in Long Branch from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bucky James Community Center located at 231 Wilbur Ray Ave. Residents should note the clinic has 200 tests and once those are administered, the clinic will close for the day.

Information about the County’s COVID-19 testing program is available on www.visitmonmouth.com. Residents are encouraged to fill out the testing requisition form ahead of testing in order to expedite the process.

Residents with general questions or concerns about the COVID-19 are able to contact the MCHD phone bank by calling 732-845-2070 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

When the phone bank is not operational, please visit the MCHD website at www.visitmonmouth.com/health for general information related to COVID-19. Residents can also visit the NJ 211 website for additional information at www.nj211.org/coronavirus-covid-19 or by dialing 2-1-1.

For information on the COVID-19 vaccine, please visit the County’s COVID-19 vaccination webpage located at www.visitmonmouth.com/health. Please do not go to a vaccination clinic without a confirmed appointment. There are no extra vaccines available at the clinics.
