New Jersey County COVID-19

Welcome to Insider NJ’s New Jersey County COVID-19 Data Center, where you will find the latest information from the state’s 21 counties.  We’ll update this page each time a county has released updated information on its COVID-19 data, rather than publish them as standalone posts, as we have done for the past several weeks.  This will allow all the information to be housed in one central place, while making it easier for the reader to find the most recent updates without having to search the site.  You can scroll through the below to see all the counties, or you click your choice below to be taken directly to that county’s place on the page. In addition, you’ll find the statewide totals and county list below the county links.  For other updates, follow Insider NJ’s COVID-19 Information Update Center.

Camden County COVID-19 Count August 6th

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 42 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,052 in Camden County today and 549 total fatalities.

“We learned today that unemployment claims in New Jersey have reached their lowest level since the pandemic first forced business closures in March. This is welcome news for the thousands of Camden County residents who have faced employment interruptions, but we know there is still a lot of work to do,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The best way to get people back to work is to control the spread of this virus so that more businesses can open, and more people feel safe visiting them. We can achieve that by wearing masks, social distancing, and working with contact tracers when you’ve been exposed or diagnosed with the disease.”

The Department of Health is announcing 42 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,340 confirmed resident cases and 520 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,052 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 311 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 549 total fatalities countywide.
