International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers Endorse Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate

Today, the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers endorsed Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate. The Iron Workers represent 120,000 members and their families in North America.

“The Iron Workers are proud to endorse Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate,” said Stephen Sweeney, General Vice President of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers. “Tammy has long been a champion for our labor brothers and sisters and New Jersey’s hardworking families. Tammy’s leadership on the New Jersey Council on the Green Economy has ensured that good-paying union jobs are at the forefront of our state’s burgeoning clean energy economy. She has also been an advocate for our healthcare workers through her nation-leading work on maternal and infant health. Tammy will be a leader in the fight to ensure fair wages, safe working conditions and good benefits for our union families in the U.S. Senate.”

Murphy has received endorsements from several unions including the State Troopers Fraternal Association, the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Local 194, the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association, and the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. Murphy has also received support from over sixty faith and community leaders, six Congressional members, and several elected officials.
