Then there are several key reorganization contests today.
In Hudson County, Union City Mayor/Senator Brian P. Stack (D-33) will go up against Jersey City School Board Member Amy DeGise this evening at Kearny High School in a contest to succeed Vincent Prieto as chair of the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO).
In Morris County, in a fight to lead the Morris County Republican Party, Ronald DeFillippis of Roxbury will face Robert Zwigard of East Hanover to replace interim chair Patti Page.
Also, it is worth noting that former Passaic County Republican Committee Chairman Peter Murphy has the votes to succeed Chairman John Traier for the GOP chairmanship in Passaic.
