The New Jersey Governor is one of the highest paid in the country, according to a comparative report by Money Talks News.

Gov. Chris Christie makes $175,000 annually to serve as New Jersey’s chief of executive, tying the Garden State with what Virginians pay their governor. Only Illinois ($177,412), California ($177,467), Tennessee ($187,500) and Pennsylvania ($190,823) pay their governors more than what the New Jersey governor makes.

Maine Governor Paul LePage makes the least at $70,000.
