Katie Brennan Talks Candidly About the Underreporting of Sex Crimes, on State of Affairs

Steve Adubato sits down with Katie Brennan, former campaign volunteer, Phil Murphy for Governor, who shares her perspective on Governor Murphy’s handling of her sexual harassment case, her perspective of the “Me Too” movement, the importance of the Waterfront Project that helps economically disadvantaged individuals address their civil legal issues, and the need for state government reforms on sexual harassment.

Katie Brennan went public in 2018 accusing a Governor Murphy aide of raping her after a campaign gathering in 2017 when she was a volunteer. Katie says “I think sometimes when people talk about the “Me Too” movement or other things, it’s too easy to focus on an individual. Myself, another, a face that was in the paper, but behind that there has been an enormous amount of hard work.”
