Kemani A. Scott and Ethan Reisbord Join MBI

TRENTON, N.J. – Today, MBI announced the addition of Kemani A. Scott and Ethan Reisbord, further strengthening the firm's government affairs and client advocacy team.

“We enthusiastically welcome Kemani to the MBI team,” said Rudy Garcia, MBI President.  “The entire MBI team has worked closely with Kemani for years.  Whether it was during his time with Senator Troy Singleton or most recently in his role inside the Sherrill Administration, Kemani was always professional, respectful, detail oriented and well prepared.  We know those attributes will continue here at MBI and, more importantly, will add value to the services provided to our clients.”

Kemani A. Scott has joined MBI as a Senior Associate. An Allentown, New Jersey, native, Kemani is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned a degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice.

Prior to joining MBI, Kemani built a diverse public service background, serving in roles with Senator Troy Singleton, Governor Mikie Sherrill, and the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Kemani was first elected to the Upper Freehold Regional School District Board of Education in 2025 and serves on its Policy Committee. He also held leadership positions on local, state, and congressional campaigns. Kemani currently serves on the executive board of the Monmouth County Young Democrats and as Municipal Chair of the Allentown Borough Democratic Committee. Throughout his professional career, he has gained extensive experience in legislative affairs, public policy, stakeholder engagement, community organizing, and strategic communications.

“After working closely with the MBI team over the past few years while serving in the public sector and seeing firsthand the impact the firm has made, I am excited for the opportunity to join MBI as its new Senior Associate,” said Kemani A. Scott. “I’m truly grateful for all of the experiences that have shaped my career, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued success.”

Ethan Reisbord joins MBI as an Associate, where he will support the firm's government affairs and client advocacy work. Ethan previously served as an intern with MBI, where he gained firsthand experience in legislative tracking, policy research, and client communications.

“Ethan came to MBI as an intern - not as a college intern - but as a graduate student working on his master’s degree,” said Rudy Garcia.  “From his first assignment, we could tell Ethan was an asset.   His enthusiasm, attention to detail, and work product was always top notch.  Stated simply, Ethan exceeded our expectations.  We are happy to welcome Ethan to the MBI family and look forward to the quality service he will provide our clients.”

A graduate of Rowan University and, most recently, The College of New Jersey, where he earned his Master of Public Policy, Reisbord brings a strong foundation in research and policy analysis. His graduate research examined the relationship among lobbying, legislative professionalism, and state policy outcomes, reflecting his interest in the policymaking process.

“During my time as an intern, I was able to truly grasp the importance of advocacy in public policy, and what better way to do so than under a team of such dedicated and knowledgeable professionals,” Reisbord said. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to officially join MBI and ecstatic to continue learning and contributing in this role.”
