Lieutenant Governor-elect Dale Caldwell Appoints Nabila Baptiste as Chief of Staff

Lieutenant Governor-elect Dale Caldwell today announced the appointment of Nabila Baptiste as his incoming Chief of Staff, a key leadership role as the Sherrill-Caldwell administration prepares to take office in January.
Baptiste brings extensive experience in government affairs, community engagement, and public policy. Before joining the Sherrill-Caldwell administration, Baptiste worked for the Mikie Sherrill for Governor campaign, where she served as Director of Strategic Partnerships. She also served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations for U.S. Ambassador and Biden Cabinet Member Linda Thomas-Greenfield, and at USAID as Special Assistant and Diaspora Advisor to Assistant Administrator Marcela Escobari. Baptiste previously led statewide political operations as the New Jersey State Director for Biden for President in 2020, and has also worked across a number of political and advocacy organizations throughout her career.
“Nabila Baptiste is the kind of experienced, principled, and dedicated leader New Jersey deserves,” said Lieutenant Governor-elect Dale Caldwell. “Her deep understanding of our communities, her commitment to public service, and her ability to bring people together make her the ideal person to help guide my office. I am thrilled she is joining our team, and I know she will help us deliver on the promise to make New Jersey more affordable so everybody has an opportunity to get ahead.”
“I am honored to serve as Chief of Staff to Lieutenant Governor-elect Caldwell,” said Nabila Baptiste. “His vision for a more collaborative and opportunity-driven New Jersey is one we deeply believe in — and we are on a mission to deliver it. Together, we are going to get right to work on Day One to make real, meaningful progress for the people of New Jersey.”
