Mercer Freeholder Frisby Backs Laurenti for LD15 Assembly Seat

Intellect, Integrity, deliberate and a loyal Democrat are all words that anyone who knows Jeffrey Laurenti would use to describe how he operates not only in his daily life, but in his political life as well. Jeff is scary smart and one of the few people that I know who has as an equally measured grasp of international, federal, state and local policy issues that impact people’s daily lives.  Having served for six years as the Executive Director of the New jersey Senate, clearly Mr. Laurenti has the political acumen to not only understand issues that our state is facing at one of its most challenging times in recent history, but to choose the best position for Legislative District 15 constituents and the people of New Jersey.

Jeff showed impeccable judgement when Senator Barack Obama had the audacity to believe that he could be the next President of the United States of America.  While other local leaders were laughing and doubting that this could ever be a reality, Jeff went on to work as Obama’s County co-chair, victoriously advocating for who he believed to be the right choice.  In 2010 when many people around Mercer County only recognized my name from newspaper articles, it was Jeff Laurenti who not only stood up for me as a Freeholder candidate… he initiated my political career.

Jeff nominated me at the convention, even though I was not the mainstream or popular choice. He believed in my ability and he believed that our Freeholder Board needed diversity of thought.  Over the years Jeff has proven that he has the ability to see future leaders and identify major issues before they actually arrive.  What is more important than seeing these things is that he actually stands up, calls them out and takes action on them, especially when it is not the popular choice.  These are just a few of the reasons that I am supporting Jeff Laurenti as the next Assemblyman of the 15th Legislative District.
