Moench Allies Sweep In Bridgewater; Hayes Nearly Loses Committee Seat

Moench's fortunes rose as Bateman's fell.

The council faction led by Matt Moench in the battle for control of the local party gained 13 seats tonight and protected two seats, enough to take control of the county committee and dealing a blow to incumbent Mayor Daniel Hayes, who nearly lost his own committee seat 79-68, with VBMs not counted yet.  With 72 seats in the Bridgewater GOP, Hayes ally Beth Powers is expected to be replaced by Michael Kirsch for municipal chair.

  1. Matt Moench is the wrong choice. I’ve never seen a grown man on their cell phone more than Matt Moench. He is constantly texting and driving, texting while playing with his kids, texting and ignoring his neighbors (me).. if Matt thinks he’s going anywhere he needs to be less out of touch with his own community.
